✅ CHECKING-IN?
🕑 Check-In Time
Check-in begins at 2:00 PM. Your site may not be ready if you arrive before that time.
📲 Self Check-In
Upon arrival, please check in using: 👉 www.manitoulinecopark.com/check-in
Once you submit your form, a map will open to help you find your site.
📶 Wi-Fi is available in the main parking lot near the office under the Happy Campers network (no password needed).
🔸 Do not check in before physically arriving
— this real-time system helps our team know you’ve made it safely.
🔸 Use the same email used when booking.
🔸 Please stay on marked paths to avoid harming sensitive habitats.
🔸 Do not bring off-island firewood
— hidden insects can severely damage our ecosystem.
🌲 FOREST CAMPGROUND CHECK-IN
★ Forest campers may arrive anytime after 2:00 PM — there is no gate.
★ Firewood is available online or by scanning QR codes located around the park.
🌌 DARKSKY PRESERVE CHECK-IN
★ The gate closes at sunset.
If you arrive after sunset, park in the Events Lot and hike your gear 6–12 minutes to your site.
★ No white lights — red lights only.
Setting up after dark is difficult and disrupts night vision for others.
🔥 FIRE & ICE (SELF-SERVE)
We run on an honour system. Please purchase firewood or ice using the links below or QR codes on-site.
After pickup, don’t forget to click “Confirm” so we know it’s been collected.
-
No campfires in the DarkSky Campground. A large communal fire pit is available at the preserve entrance.

🌿 MOTHER NATURE FEE
Because caring for the land means holding people accountable when they don’t. We’ve introduced a Mother Nature Fee for guests who disregard key land-respect rules — like making fires in restricted zones, foraging wood, or polluting our stargazing sanctuary with smoke.
This isn’t about punishment. It’s about accountability — and turning harm into healing.
Violations & Contributions
★ Cigarette butts tossed on the ground — $5
Please don’t throw your butts around... Because you know what they say:
With every butt, there's an asspiring* polluter. (*Pls excuse the spelling.)
★ Campfire using off-island firewood — $5
Imported wood can carry invasive bugs and tree diseases. Buy local or use on-site options to keep our forest safe.
★ Campfire using foraged forest wood — $10
Forest floors are homes — not hardware stores. Foraging crushes Trilliums and destroys microhabitats.
★ Campfire in the DarkSky Campground — $50
Smoke ruins the experience for stargazers and threatens our RASC Dark Sky designation — which we work hard to protect.
💚 All proceeds go toward helping people in crisis access our programs — through full or partial sponsorships to healing retreats, family camps, and nature-based support. Learn more about our programs at 👉 thecircleforchange.net/about-us
